Dr. Patricia Hostyn, DMD
Dr. Patricia Hostyn was born in Hawaii and raised in Northern Virginia. She began her academic path at Virginia Tech, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. In 2014, she received a highly competitive Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Air Force, commissioning as a Second Lieutenant and beginning her military dental career.
Dr. Hostyn earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, graduating with Clinical Honors. Following dental school, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. This comprehensive training expanded her clinical expertise across a wide range of disciplines, including conscious sedation, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics, implant restoration, orthodontics, sleep dentistry, and advanced 3D digital dental technologies.
During her service with the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Hostyn practiced dentistry in a variety of clinical environments, including assignments at Kunsan Air Base in South Korea and Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam in Hawaii. These experiences further strengthened her ability to provide adaptable, high-quality care to diverse patient populations.
Dr. Hostyn is honored to care for patients at Dentique Dental in partnership with Shore Dental Partners. She is guided by a patient-first philosophy centered on empathetic listening, transparent treatment planning, compassionate care, and unwavering commitment to each patient’s best interests.

Dr. Sixto Cornejo Zavala, DMD
Dr. Sixto Cornejo Zavala brings a globally informed perspective to dentistry, shaped by advanced education and clinical training across multiple countries and specialty programs. Originally from Ecuador, he began his dental education at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, where he completed five years of intensive training and earned his dental degree in June 2016. His early education placed strong emphasis on surgical disciplines and comprehensive patient care.
Seeking advanced specialization, Dr. Cornejo continued his professional development in the United States by enrolling in the Periodontics program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He completed his specialty certification in June 2020, gaining advanced expertise in dental implantology, periodontal surgery, soft tissue management, and full-arch rehabilitation.
To broaden his clinical scope, Dr. Cornejo pursued additional postgraduate training at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, New York. He completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in 2022, further refining his surgical and restorative skills while contributing to research focused on improving dental implant success rates.
Following his postgraduate training, Dr. Cornejo has practiced as a periodontist in leading dental practices across Florida. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and is dedicated to building strong, inclusive relationships with patients through clear communication and individualized treatment planning.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Cornejo remains actively engaged in continuing education, with particular interests in implant dentistry and aesthetic restorative techniques.
