An Illustrious Journey
Dr. Herr, the eldest of ten children, demonstrated leadership and discipline from an early age. He graduated as valedictorian of his high school and served as student body president during both his high school and college years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno, and successfully owned and operated several businesses before answering his calling to dentistry.
Driven by a passion for learning and service, Dr. Herr returned to academia and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he began shaping a career rooted in integrity, excellence, and compassion.
Commitment Beyond the Clinic
Dr. Herr’s commitment to service has always extended beyond the dental office. During dental school, he volunteered with several nonprofit organizations, including the Union Gospel Mission and the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile® program. He also provided care to underserved populations at the Cass Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota.
Following graduation, Dr. Herr continued his mission of service by working in an all-Medicaid dental clinic in southern Minnesota, ensuring access to quality dental care for patients in need.
Continuous Learning and Professional Achievements
Dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care, Dr. Herr remains deeply committed to continuing education. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Georgia Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society.
Dr. Herr completed an intensive seven-month dental implant training program at the Triangle Dental Institute in Durham, North Carolina, and was subsequently honored as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Most recently, he completed Advanced Dental Implant training through the Resnik Implant Institute, further enhancing his expertise in implant dentistry.
A Life Beyond Dentistry
Dr. Herr’s life is grounded in strong family values and deep Christian faith. He has been married for over 30 years and, together with his wife, proudly raised three children. Outside the office, he enjoys camping, golfing, traveling, and spending meaningful time with his family.
