Dr. Josh Haycock’s passion for dentistry began in an unexpected place—inside the dental chair. During high school, he spent a significant amount of time receiving dental care from his family dentist, ranging from routine cleanings and fillings to more complex procedures such as implants and root canals. Rather than discouraging him, these experiences inspired Dr. Haycock to pursue a career dedicated to helping others feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for during their dental visits.

Dr. Haycock prides himself on creating a welcoming, relaxed environment where patients feel at ease and fully informed about their treatment options. His favorite aspect of dentistry is seeing patients leave the office happy and confident with their smiles.

Originally from Northern California, Dr. Haycock moved to Georgia at the age of 13. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University in Utah before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Western University of Health Sciences. Since graduating, he has continued to advance his education and remain current with modern dental techniques and technologies. He is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.

After dental school, Dr. Haycock worked for several years as an associate dentist, gaining valuable experience and refining his approach to patient care. During this time, he realized his desire to spend more one-on-one time with patients—answering questions thoroughly, easing anxiety, and delivering the level of care he believes every patient deserves. This vision led him to open Auburn Hills Family Dentistry, where he has built a compassionate, highly skilled team dedicated to serving the community.

One of Dr. Haycock’s proudest achievements is receiving the Ameritas VIP (Very Important Provider) Award for Outstanding Service, a patient-nominated honor that reflects the trust and appreciation of those he serves. Outside the office, Dr. Haycock enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. His interests include CrossFit, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and playing sports. He also has a strong interest in marine biology and enjoys keeping up with the latest research and developments in the field.
