Meet Drs. Kirk & Jessica Robertson

Looking back, it is surprising that we did not discover Flagstaff during our college years. At the time, limited budgets and demanding schedules likely kept us from exploring beyond campus life. Dr. Kirk and I have known each other since high school and were introduced to Arizona while attending Arizona State University. We enjoyed our time in Tempe, built lasting friendships, and shared in the excitement of Kirk’s football career at ASU. While the Sun Devils’ loss to Ohio State was a disappointment, it did not diminish how meaningful the experience was—coming so close to a National Championship alongside his teammates remains a proud memory.

We later earned our dental degrees from Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) before returning to Southern California to complete pediatric dental residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles. Although we appreciated the Pacific Northwest for its walkable cities, urban trails, and cooler weather, it was Flagstaff that truly felt like home. The access to lakes and rivers, the strong sense of environmental responsibility, and the outdoor lifestyle aligned perfectly with our values.

Flagstaff’s close-knit community and small-town atmosphere have made it an ideal place to raise our two children. We are deeply thankful to be part of such a supportive environment, and that gratitude motivates us to stay actively engaged and give back. Our involvement includes working with the Coconino County Health Department through the Give Kids a Smile program and supporting the Flagstaff Medical Center Breastfeeding Center.
