About Dr. Adam Schneider, DDS
Dr. Adam Schneider earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, where he received the Student Leadership Achievement Award. During his senior year, he completed a geriatrics clerkship at the VA Hospital and participated in a dental mission to Vietnam. Following graduation, Dr. Adam joined his father, Dr. Bill Schneider, at Schneider Family Dentistry, continuing a proud legacy as a third-generation Schneider dentist.
Dr. Adam is deeply committed to clinical excellence and lifelong learning. He continually studies emerging research and invests in proven, state-of-the-art dental technologies, materials, and instruments. Schneider Family Dentistry was the first practice in Montgomery County, Maryland, to implement laser dentistry and was also an early adopter of CAD/CAM technology. His advanced education includes extensive training at the Nash and Dawson Institutes, the Pankey Institute, and the Spear Institutes, where he refined his expertise in cosmetic dentistry, reconstructive dentistry, and occlusion. He is a certified Invisalign® provider and has practiced sleep dentistry for more than 20 years, utilizing specialized equipment to precisely adjust sleep appliances.
Early in his career, Dr. Adam was awarded a Fellowship in both the American College of Dentists and the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration in 2005. As President of the ACD DC Metro Chapter, he launched a mentoring program and founded a student chapter that continues to thrive. He has remained highly active in organized dentistry, serving for many years as Chairman of the Maryland State Dental Association Committee on New Dentists, for which he received the MSDA Leadership Award in 2003. He also served on the executive board of the Southern Maryland Dental Society for over a decade and was elected President in 2009. Additionally, Dr. Adam served as Scientific Chairman of the MSDA annual meeting for more than 13 years and later as General Chairman for five years. He participates annually in the MSDA Donated Dental Services program, providing care to patients in need.
For more than 15 consecutive years, Dr. Adam has been selected by his peers as a Washingtonian Magazine Top Dentist. He has also been named a Bethesda Magazine Top Dentist and recognized for many years as a leading dentist by Consumer Checkbook.
Dr. Adam is especially proud that his daughter, Caroline, plans to join Schneider Family Dentistry, continuing the tradition as the fourth generation of Schneider dentists.
