Dr. Mark Schemmel is a Dubuque native who is proud to serve the community he has called home his entire life. He completed his undergraduate studies at Saint Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014. He then pursued his dental education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2018.
Dr. Schemmel is actively involved in the dental profession and maintains membership in several respected organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association – Dubuque Chapter (where he previously served as President), the Chicago Dental Society, the Dubuque Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. His professional involvement reflects a strong commitment to continuing education, leadership, and high standards of patient care.
After completing their education, Dr. Schemmel and his wife, Chandler (Flynn), returned to Dubuque to establish their home and build their future in the community they both cherish. They are the proud parents of their daughter, Tatum.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Schemmel enjoys traveling with his family, following a wide range of sporting events, and spending time outdoors walking with Chandler and their Goldendoodle, Blanche.
