Dr. Barrie Barber Choate is a dedicated pediatric dentist committed to creating a personalized and compassionate dental experience for children and their families. She founded her private practice in 2011 with the vision of delivering care in an environment where both children and parents feel heard, respected, and supported by a team of empathetic professionals. Her guiding principle is simple: treat all patients the way she would want her own children to be treated.
A lifelong Texan, Dr. Choate’s passion for working with children began at an early age. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1984 and completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry in conjunction with Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. In 1987, she furthered her education with a post-doctoral master’s degree in dentistry. Following her training, Dr. Choate spent several years teaching dental students, sharing her expertise, and nurturing the next generation of dental professionals.
Dr. Choate is proud to call Dallas her home, where she and her husband, Tom, a practicing endodontist, have raised two sons and a daughter. Outside the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and being entertained by their cat and French bulldogs.
For Dr. Choate, the most rewarding part of her career is the daily opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of her young patients. She finds inspiration and joy in helping children develop healthy smiles and lifelong dental habits, believing strongly that they are the future.
