Meet Dr. Jacob Dachman, DMD

Dr. Jacob Dachman is a native of Rockford, Illinois, and a proud graduate of Rockford Christian High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University, the world’s leading institution in public health education. He then returned to Illinois to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

During dental school, Dr. Dachman received numerous honors, including the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for his dedication to children with special healthcare needs and the Jane Addams Distinguished Service Award, a university-wide recognition for community service. Following graduation, he completed a specialized pediatric dental residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, consistently ranked as the number-one children’s hospital in the United States.

In his final year of residency, Dr. Dachman was selected as a recipient of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) Resident Recognition Award, an honor given to only four graduating residents nationwide. He remains deeply committed to professional growth through research, continuing education, and participation in study clubs to stay at the forefront of pediatric dental care.

Dr. Dachman is a board-certified pediatric dentist, serving as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists (ISPD), and the American Dental Association (ADA).

With a special passion for caring for children with special needs, Dr. Jake strives to ensure every child feels valued, understood, and comfortable. He is known for his engaging, compassionate approach—singing songs, sharing stories, and building meaningful connections to create positive and memorable dental experiences.

Outside the office, Dr. Dachman enjoys life with his wife and their two young daughters. He stays active in the community and enjoys basketball, golf, discovering new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
